68p well invested…

Special from local supermarket – only 68p so worth every penny. Started painting in morning and ended up doing the rest in late afternoon and the light had moved! But it got me painting again. Though this may need some work… or another painting!

68 pennies pineapple is worth many works but I really like this drawing

Wow, this is a perfect pineapple. I find them very difficult to do.

  4. It’s a lovely painting! I learned something new about pineapples recently – if you count the spirals that radiate from the base, the numbers fall in line with a Fibonacci number sequence – although I’m hopeless at maths and couldn’t explain more than that but if you have a nose around the internet and you’ll find it, I’m sure. Hope you enjoyed eating it after the painting! 🙂

Fibonaci: the next number is found by adding up the two numbers before it. 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34 etc. Flowers and petals, pinecones and their ‘leaves’, pineapples and their chunks – happens a lot in nature. Thanks, I had no idea – and can now seem to be intelligent. It is also the Golden Ratio / Spiral…

    And the pineapple was delicious!
