The Crown…

The pub at the end of our road… bit of a hotchpotch but has been a beer house since 1851 with the original building dating back to the 1600s. I seem to have altered a roofline and neglected to put in the sign but we’ll call it artistic licence.

I had originally tried this as a pen & ink drawing with watercolour wash but threw it away… this is better, but…

theCrownpractise will – eventually – make perfect!

You lit this beautifully. That chimney! It draws my eye right down into the building. Good job!

I’m always amazed at how old your buildings are….from the 1600’s. Wow. Nice painting.
