I’ve been a graphic designer for nearly 30 years – working with Letraset, Cow Gum, scalpels and pasting up everything onto a bit of board. I got into computer-aided design early starting with Pagemaker and progressing to Quark and Indesign with Photoshop and Illustrator thown in. So for 30 years working in a very busy printshop, designing, running our own business, looking after customers and staff I have not had a great deal of time to be creative for me.

This year I have resolved to get away from the computer every day and still do something creative. So I try each morning to do a quick painting – watercolour – and I only give myself the time it takes to drink a cup of tea… which explains why some of them are very rough – remember I haven’t done anything like this in 30 years!

Some I love… some I hate!
